We consider Patagonia’s Aurora to be among the top alpacas that we have produced. She descends from a combination of Nishio and Lennox lines, our most successful formula for producing a fleece with extreme density without compromising fineness. Aurora ‘s dam, Patagonia’s Juneau is a Lennox daughter. Lennox is an 8-time champion Danko son and it is his offspring that now comprise the majority of our showstring. Juneau was the 2007 AOBA National Champion and has gone on to be one of our top producing females. Juneau’s crias always make the cut to be on our showstring. Aurora’s sire, Nishio, was the All-American herdsire of the year in 2004 and the reserve herdsire in 2007. Nishio has sired numerous champions in all colors from white to black. Aurora’s bloodlines are attractive as is her nicely balanced conformation, dense bone and beautiful head. It is her fleece with the combination of extreme density, fineness, and uniformity that makes her stand apart. Aurora sells with a breeding to the Patagonia herdsire of Buyer’s choice, as well as, the guarantees you have come to expect from Patagonia.
UPDATE: AURORA IS UNDEFEATED IN THE SHOWRING IN 2010, WINNING THE COLOR CHAMPIONSHIP AT EACH SHOW THAT SHE HAS ATTENDED.
